Thor Phillips is an Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and sound technician whose music is grounded in a lifetime of real experience, hard work, and storytelling.
His work is not shaped by image or industry trend, but by lived experience — and a deep commitment to craft, both on stage and in the studio.
Raised in a Northern Rivers dairy farming community in New South Wales, Thor’s connection to music began early, picking up the guitar at the age of four. Growing up in a rural environment shaped both his perspective and his creative voice, grounding his songwriting in storytelling, place, and the rhythms of everyday life.

As a performer, Thor is known for dynamic, high-energy live shows that move between intimacy and intensity. Whether performing solo, as a duo with his wife Jasmine, or with a full band, he connects with audiences across regional venues, festivals, and major Australian stages.
He has performed extensively throughout Australia, building a reputation for shows that are both powerful and deeply human, resonating from small country halls to large festival stages.

Life Beyond Music
Thor’s path has never been confined to music alone.
Alongside his creative work, he has built a career across a range of hands-on professions, including trade work as a qualified tractor mechanic, service in the Australian Army, and frontline work as a firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW.
Thor is also an experienced producer and sound engineer, having self-recorded and produced multiple independent albums and worked with a range of artists through his studio practice. His approach to production is hands-on and detail-driven, reflecting the same craftsmanship that defines his songwriting and performance.
Alongside his music career, Thor is a skilled audio and sound technician currently undertaking research and development on a studio audio equipment range, scheduled for release in late 2026.
Thor lives in the Northern Rivers of NSW with his wife and high-school sweetheart, Jasmine, and their children. He continues to write, record, perform, and develop new work across Australia, maintaining a strong connection to both his regional roots and the wider Australian music landscape.
